Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had some positives like great breakfast and friendly staff, but the rooms were noisy and freezing, and the location seemed a bit tired. Enjoyed the dining options even though service was rushed.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The location was ideal, right in the middle of town and on the NC500 route, providing convenient access to the Main Street shops. The rooms overlooked the garden and car park, with a beautiful view of a historic church and garden, although some refurbishment is needed. The service, while efficient in checking me in and assisting with bicycle storage, felt a bit robotic and lacked a personal touch. The dining experience was average, with satisfactory food but staff that could have been more helpful. The facilities were decent, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
After a very long drive, I found the hotel to be a bit tired, but that didn't affect the comfort of my stay. The room was over bright with far too many bright lights. The staff were very friendly and helpful at that time of day, and the location was very central for shops, eating out, with a bus stop directly outside and a nice river view. The dining experience was superb, with plenty of delicious and varied options, far exceeding my expectations.
I woke up in a white tent just twenty feet from our lovely room, greeted by a comforting interior with coffee, tea, and a bowl of fruit. The manager and the team were super helpful, the location great for exploring, and the dining experience quite good, although with a slight hiccup of some cold buffet items. Overall, a nice stay but some room for improvement.
The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the town and shops, with warm and comfortable rooms. However, the cleanliness could have been better, and the standard room prices seemed a bit high. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially during busy breakfast times. The dining experience provided a variety of excellent options, but there were some delays in service. Overall, a decent stay with good value for money.
My stay at the hotel was quite good overall. The room had coffee/tea making facilities, but unfortunately, the bathroom was small and dirty with stains in the bath tub. The location was great, overlooking the river, and just a short walk to the city center. The service was helpful and welcoming, but there were some lapses in attentiveness, especially in the bar/restaurant area. The dining experience was impressive with a wide variety of food choices. The hotel facilities were decent, though some areas looked tired.
